5/11/2023 0 Comments His only wife book summary![]() ![]() There is drama and a lot of decisions to be made in this story to be made with strings constantly being pulled in this young woman’s life. I think it’s a good book to read especially as a young woman because it helps you reflect on what you truly desire out of life and what you will or won’t do in order to get there. I enjoyed processing the development of Afi as she navigated womanhood, family obligations, and societal expectations. Book illustrations have absolutely stepped their game up in recent years and I, for one, love to see it. I have had fun just diving into an interesting title and book cover. I honestly have not been reading synopses and reviews as much. Now, those creatures are gone because their spots have been taken by the friars and other mendicants that seem to fill every nook and cranny of the isle. I love art and that drew me into this book. Summary: The Wife of Bath’s Tale In the days of King Arthur, the Wife of Bath begins, the isle of Britain was full of fairies and elves. I am keeping a running list of books I’ve read with links to purchase. ![]() ![]() I love stories about Black people throughout the diaspora and that has been somewhat of an unintentional theme among the books I have read so far this year. ![]() It’s set in Ghana which is a country I love and can’t wait to return to with my family this time. His Only Wife written by Peace Adzo Medie was my first book of the year and while it started a bit slow (what book doesn’t), the novel quickly sped up. ![]()
